An elopement strips the wedding down to the part that matters, and it deserves coverage that moves at the same weight — one photographer, no production, every frame intentional. I filmed Shauna & William's elopement on the Big Sur coast, and Saya & Savino saying it beneath the San Francisco City Hall rotunda — two ends of the same idea. Two hours of honest coverage often tells the whole story. If your plan is a permit, a view, and the two of you, that's enough.

Questions
How much coverage does an elopement need?
Usually two to four hours — the ceremony, portraits in one or two spots, and a quiet toast. The four-hour minimum covers most elopements comfortably, and City Hall dates often fit the shorter end.
Can you help us pick a location?
Yes. I know the Bay's courthouse rooms, coastal pullouts, and which Big Sur overlooks hold their light in the afternoon. Tell me the season and the feeling you want, and I'll shortlist real places.
Do you travel for elopements?
San Francisco, San Jose, and the Monterey area — including Carmel and Big Sur's north end — carry no travel fee. Tahoe and beyond get one honest quoted number, not a surprise on the invoice.
