Gujarati weddings bring their own signatures: the pithi turning everyone yellow, the jaan arriving with the groom to be greeted — and his nose playfully pinched — by the bride's mother at the ponkhvanu, the hasta melap binding two hands, and four mangal pheras instead of seven. I photographed Kshitija & Tanay's haldi and engagement and Ishita & Arpit's traditional ceremony, and the garba nights before these weddings are some of the most energetic floors I cover. If your aunties plan to steal the groom's shoes, I'll be there for the negotiation.

Gladly — fast circular motion in banquet lighting is a specific skill, and I've built it. Expect wide frames of the full circle and tight ones of the dandiya clashes.

Yes — mangal pheras go four rounds in a Gujarati ceremony, with the bride leading the first. Small details like that decide whether your photographer is standing in the right place.
Can you photograph the shoe-stealing?
The juta chupai negotiation is mandatory coverage as far as I'm concerned. The bargaining faces on both sides are usually among the family's favorite frames.
